WG is seeking a “tax administrator” for a newly created role within the organization. The roles and responsibilities of this position will include supporting the tax team and serving as a liaison between external clients and internal personnel. The ideal candidate is very detail-oriented, exceptionally organized, highly accountable.

What you’ll do:

The Tax Administrator plays a critical role in streamlining the functions of the tax department. This position will work closely with the Tax Department on various projects and day to day assignments. The objectives of this role are to:

  • Assist with facilitating day to day processes within the department
  • Organize tax returns and financial statements for clients
  • Communicate and coordinate directly with clients, providing best in class support
  • Distribution of draft and final tax returns and documentation to clients
  • Receive, organize, and distribute tax documents to preparers
  • Project management, data collection, client triage
  • Electronic filing of tax returns and extensions, sending and receiving E-File Authorization Forms, receiving E-File acknowledgements and rejections
  • Maintain accurate tax records, documentation, and financial statements for tax purposes. Ensuring all records are organized and accessible for audits and compliance checks
  • Management of tax software including updates and renewals of all software applications
  • Managing relationships with software and technology vendors
  • Managing the billing function for the tax department
  • Facilitating access and onboarding of tax specific software for new and existing employees
  • Communication and internal reporting of data to our Director of Tax and leadership team

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an tax administration or related field
  • Must have strong technology skills and be proficient with all aspects of Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge and experience with Slack, Thomson Reuters UltraTax CS and Accounting CS, QuickBooks Online, & Gusto is a plus
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to listen effectively
  • Work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to learn processes quickly and apply that knowledge to streamlining processes
  • Team player with a desire to be an active participant within the organization
  • Bachelor’s degree in from an accredited college or university (preferred, but not required)

Tax Administrator Details:

Job Type: Full-time
Work Location: Remote
Pay: $50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
